Weddings - before your big day...
We will meet with the bride and groom (and often parents) well in advance to discuss your requirements. Every couple are different, some want photos at the house showing the bride in preparation, others don't. Some folks only want photos at the service. Many couples want the full day covered - from beginning to end. Some folks only want formal shots, other want informal (non-posed) shots as well. Indeed some couples welcome the odd funny photo that captures the moment (or the eejit!). That is why we need to meet, preferably face to face, to fully explore your needs and requirements. Following discussion, explanation and agreement we will prepare a written 'Service Level Agreement' so that everyone is clear about what has been agreed. This is only fair for all concerned. You are strongly advised to make, at least a provisional booking, as soon as you can.
Back - up plan...
We will also need to discuss a back up plan - just in case the heavens open and torrential rain prevents any photographs from being taken outside. In such circumstances we have to know where your photographs will be taken. Although we can assist, it is the customer's responsibility in the first instance to negotiate with church / registry office officials - in relation to the location and time required for photographs - when the weather is poor..
Preparation
We will visit the church, registry office, or town hall prior to your big day - to meet with the minister or registrar to discuss where photography is permitted, use of tripods and Flash, etc. We will also discuss with them our proposed back up plan. While there we will want to check out the lighting and layout of the building. We will also visit where you intend to hold your reception, for the same reasons.
